Your Wedding
I love weddings.
I do. They never get old. The excitement, the giddy expectation, the dress, the colour, the confetti. I love every little bit of them and it’s fascinating to see the quirky little personal spins that each couple put on the tradition. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, someone goes ahead and wows you all over again.
I lean towards a docu-journalistic style, which means that I don’t focus too ardently on a ‘checklist of essential shots’, rather I move around your wedding unobtrusively, recording the day as it unfolds. I’ll always try to use natural light wherever possible.
How it works
How it all works
Just to give you a flavour of how we’ll work together…
We’ll meet up and talk all things wedding. We’ll set some dates and I’ll answer any questions you have for me.
If you fancy an engagement shoot, we can pop in a date for this. I do recommend an engagement shoot, it’s a wonderful way for us to get to know one another and for you to relax around the camera. No pressure, but we can find time for this if you’d like to.
We’ll also nearer the wedding date to have a little look at your venue and finalise some details.
THE BIG DAY. I’ll arrive early at wherever you’re getting ready to capture some details and some pre-wedding moments. During the day, I’ll move discreetly around your wedding, capturing your day as it unfolds. I can stay as late as you like, we can talk about that beforehand.
Following the wedding (as soon as you’re back from your honeymoon), we’ll organise a sneak-preview of a few of the best shots so you can make your thank you cards.
Then, around eight to twelve weeks later, you can see your photos! We’ll set up a little presentation that will allow you to kick back and relive your beautiful wedding day.
FAQ’s
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?
I travel UK wide having photographed weddings in London, Liverpool and more locally here in Snowdonia, Anglesey and Cheshire. I’d love to be a part of your wedding abroad too, with experience in shooting projects in Italy, Scandinavia and the US.
WE’D LOVE SOME PHOTOS OF THE WEDDING PREPARATION. DO YOU PROVIDE PHOTOGRAPHY BEFORE THE CEREMONY?
I believe wedding details are just as important as the people present, therefore I highly suggest you have me arrive an hour or two before the ceremony to photograph the preparations as well as details such as the dress, shoes and flowers. Grooms can also have preparation photos before the ceremony.
DO YOU REQUIRE A BOOKING FEE?
Yes, I require a booking fee to confirm your wedding date. Following an initial consultation, you will be provided with a quote to suit your needs. I will need 50% of your chosen package price to secure your booking. We can then proceed with the planning!
HOW SOON AFTER THE WEDDING WILL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
I aim to have your images ready within 12 weeks after your wedding. During busy periods this can change and I will always inform you of any delays in delivery.
