The Best Wedding Venues in North Wales

If you're getting married in North Wales, you have a lot of options. So many, in fact, that it can be easy to feel overwhelmed—and that's where I wanted to come in! I've spent the last decade photographing weddings and helping couples plan their big days. With this experience under my belt, I've compiled a list of some of my favourite venues from around North Wales so that you can see what's out there and find the perfect place for your wedding day. I’ve specially selected these venues based on their beautiful locations, stunning rooms, great food and attentive staff. I hope you enjoy looking through these lovely locations that I absolutely love working at.

Iscoyd Park

Iscoyd Park Wedding Venue, Wrexham

Iscoyd Park is a luxury wedding venue on the Wrexham and Shropshire border in North Wales. The Georgian house has been renovated to provide a stunning backdrop for your special day. It has numerous options for the preparations, the ceremony and evening celebrations. I especially love the elegant Garden Room for ceremonies, it’s a fresh, open and airy space. This versatile venue can be tailored to suit you – whether it’s one-day or three-day celebration, with or without accommodation.

The main house at Iscoyd Park is bright and airy with plenty of room to move around indoors, making it an ideal space for getting ready with your brial party before you head down to say ‘I do’ in front of your nearest and dearest. The beautiful grounds provide an elegant setting for your wedding – there are several beautiful spaces available including lakeside views, woodland walks and manicured gardens which set against the countryside backdrop make this a truly idyllic location for your big day. A fun tip; make sure you include some lawn games for your guests during the drinks reception!

Tyn Dwr Hall

Tyn Dwr Hall Wedding Venue, Llangollen

Tyn Dwr Hall is the perfect venue for a Welsh wedding. Set in the beautiful and historic Dee Valley, this Grade II listed building combines modern and traditional design to create an elegant and classic looking venue. The main reception room is surrounded by hills and forests, while there are also several rooms for you and your guests to enjoy drinks and canapés.

The ceremony can be held indoors or outdoors depending on what you prefer, with stunning backdrops either way. The indoor ceremony area is a beautiful minimalist space with chandeliers hanging from high ceilings that add to the elegance of the room. The old fireplace is a key feature, with beautiful words from the Welsh poem, ‘Mi Gerddaf Gyda Thi” (’I will walk with you’) engraved above. If you prefer an outdoor ceremony then there is plenty of space outside with lots of trees surrounding it giving you privacy but still feeling connected with nature.

The terrace is perfect for holding the drinks reception, or get your guests together for cocktails in the quirky Dickins Bar. Then onwards to the breathtaking Garden Room for your wedding breakfast, a space that is just beautiful to dine in with floor to ceiling windows for that extra wow-factor.
