A Hunton Park wedding with beautiful blush tones

I’m super excited to be sharing with you another one of my 2019 weddings today. It’s a particularly lovely one to share right now since this wedding brought together guests from all corners of the world, including many of the bride's family members who flew in from Hong Kong. Travel is something that this worldly young couple love, and I guess it is only during times such as these where we are all forced to stop and be still, that we realise how we take travel for granted. Hopefully the beautifully elegant wedding of Priscilla and Jonathan from July last year will bring you all a much-needed dose of inspiration and cheer to get you through the day!

This summer wedding was my first time shooting at Hunton Park Hotel, and I was really looking forward to it. Set within 22 acres of parkland, it is a stunning Queen Ann mansion house with traditional Georgian features. I knew that this wedding was going to exude style and sophistication. It didn’t disappoint!

Priscilla and her bridal party looked so elegant. Priscilla in a beautifully romantic gown, and her maids in a very soft blush. Priscilla finished her look with a slick bun at the nape of the neck, and a traditional fingertip length veil. The bridal party each held a perfectly neat bouquet of white roses. The groomsmen looked equally as polished, in a look that we don’t see that often anymore, but a look that perfectly suited the venue. A look that I LOVE – the black-tie.

I also loved that Priscilla wore her veil to cover her face for the ceremony, with it being lifted following the exchange of rings and for their first kiss. Such a lovely moment. The ceremony also featured prayers which were testament to the couple’s faith, as well as lots of singing. The whole day was all just super lovely and heart-warming. I particularly enjoyed taking Priscilla and Jonathan out into the grounds for their Mr and Mrs photo session, and I’m sure you will agree that the shots we captured just ooze class and romance!

Following the wedding breakfast, Priscilla changed into a second gown, an A line slip and she looked so stunning in it. The traditional elements followed the outfit change too, via a Chinese tea ceremony where elder guests presented the happy couple with gifts (mostly gold) and lucky red envelopes. It was now time for the evening celebrations, and this couple knew how to get the party started – a salsa lesson! Such a fun idea and the guests loved dancing the night away.

Thank you Priscilla and Jonathan!

Let’s hope it’s not too long until we are all up and dancing together again!
