Do you travel for weddings?
I travel UK wide having photographed weddings in Cornwall, Buckinghamshire and more locally here in North Wales and Cheshire. I’d love to be a part of your wedding abroad. Take a look at our destinations page for more information.
We’d love some photos of the wedding preparation. Do you provide photography before the ceremony?
I believe wedding details are just as important as the people present, therefore I highly suggest you book me to arrive an hour or two before the ceremony to photograph the preparations as well as details such as the dress, shoes and flowers. Grooms can also have preparation photos before the ceremony.
Do you require a booking fee?
Yes, I require a booking fee to confirm your wedding date. Following an initial consultation, you will be provided with a quote to suit your needs. I will need 50% of your chosen package price to secure your booking. We can then proceed with the planning and if booked, your engagement shoot!
How soon after the wedding will we receive our photos?
I aim to have your images ready within 12 weeks after your wedding. During busy periods this can change and I will always inform you of any delays in delivery. When the photos are ready for viewing, you can come over to the office in Bala, North Wales to view your slideshow or alternatively because of distance, you can receive your online album to view and share your images.
Will our images appear on your website, Facebook or Instagram after our wedding?
I’d love to share your images on my website and social media pages, but I will always ask your permission before posting anything. I respect my clients’ privacy wishes.
Do you have a contract?
Yes. My contract is in place to protect the client as well as the photographer should anything happen before, during or after the wedding. Both parties will sign the contract after all the relevant information is fully correct. You can request to view our terms and conditions by contacting us.
Our budget is limited for our wedding photography. Do you offer discounts?
I do not offer discounts, as my photography has been developed to bring you the highest value and quality. My package prices are final, but I am more than happy to work with more limited budgets, refined and tweaked to your needs.
Can we order our prints, books and frames after the wedding?
Of course! I keep your photos safe for 5 years and your online album is available for 10 years. You can order new or duplicate copies of your photos at any time. Prices may be subject to change, please do keep this in mind.
Do you edit your photos?
Yes, each photo is edited to ensure all images compliment each other. I believe strongly in a wedding album that is consistent, fresh and beautiful. My editing method will always reflect this and I aim to keep all colours true, including skin tones.
You also photograph with film cameras. Why?
To put this simply, no digital camera can beat the quality of medium format film. I will soon start a series on my blog on the journey in film photography and explain the main differences.
What if it’s raining on our wedding day?
My job as your photographer is to ensure that you receive the best wedding photos. Of course, we can’t predict the weather but this is where planning and preparation is essential. I will always request to visit all wedding locations beforehand to ensure we have a second plan should it rain on your day.
What’s your photography style and approach?
You can find out more about photography style here.
We’d like copies of all the photos, unedited. Can you provide this?
I cannot provide the original unedited RAW files. I will soon be explaining on my blog why I don’t share the original files.
